A school trip for all ages
From an early age it is interesting to learn about animals. In this way we can put together a nice program for toddlers and primary school students in which knowledge about dolphins, seals and sea lions comes at first place. The content of the program is adjusted to the age and level of knowledge of the group. This means that the program is also accessible to students from high school or college.
Go on a discovery trip with the caretakers
The special interactive session for schools begins in the theater of the sea lions. From the first row you can see these beautiful Californian sea lions. The caretakers talk about the animals you see in the theater, but also about the life of this species in the wild.
After that, the school group moves to the dolphinarium where a presentation is given about the dolphin. Learn about the lives of dolphins and marine mammals in general. At the end the whole school can take a picture with the dolphins. That’s an experience that the students will never forget and it’s also a nice souvenir to show to family and friends afterwards.
The program lasts approximately one hour, which gives you enough time to explore the rest of the park. This makes this school trip not only educational, but also very pleasant.
Make use of the educational work sheets
Boudewijn Seapark offers educational work sheets especially for school trips. If you book the educational program, you will receive them in advance via e-mail. With these work sheets, the program can be prepared in the classroom. As a result, the students already know what they can expect and they are made enthusiastic about the school trip.
Educational school trip to an attraction park
In addition to our educational programs, there are more educational opportunities to discover in the park. In the hall of the dolphinarium for example, there is an exhibition about the plastic soup called “Buik vol van afval”. Learn what effect that all the plastic waste we throw away has on marine animals.
There are also seals in the park. These beautiful animals live in the seal lagoon. Watch them swim and play from very close by and attend the educational presentation. The caretakers explain how and why they train the animals and what the biggest differences are between a seal and a sea lion.
Boudewijn Seapark not only offers presentations with marine mammals. Children can enjoy themselves for hours thanks to more than 20 attractions and an outdoor water park. A school trip to never forget!
Free teacher days
Come explore the park in advance! From 30 March till 12 May 2024, and from 26 October till 3 November 2024., teachers get free admission! The entire amusement park, all attractions inside and outside and all presentations can be visited daily between 10:00 and 17:00. By presenting your valid teacher’s card at the box office, the cardholder will receive free admission that day. Accompanying persons pay only €20,50 (instead of €29,50 for adults or €27,50 for children). Preschoolers (85 cm – 99 cm) pay €11,50. Tickets are only available at the box office.
